Drake Bay is a remote location in the south of Costa Rica. It is also known to be a point of departure to visit Corcovado National Park or Caño Island, however, it is also an excellent place to watch birds.
Early in the morning or in the evening is the perfect time to go out looking for birds. There some routes already set that guides frequently follow.
Towards Cocalito beach from Drake Bay has a chance to find several species of tanagers, wrens, hummingbirds, and even sandpipers along the ocean and riverside.
