Caño Island is one of the best diving destinations in Costa Rica — and this tour gets you there in style. Departing from Drake Bay, you’ll dive into warm Pacific waters to explore volcanic rock formations teeming with marine life. From colorful reef fish to majestic manta rays, each dive brings you face-to-face with the ocean’s hidden wonders. With visibility up to 20 meters and consistent sightings of sea turtles and white-tipped reef sharks, it’s a must-do for certified divers.
Diving sessions are at a casual pace to allow time for observation and questions.
Our groups are limited to eight people + the dive master, to ensure a personal and immersive experience.
If you’d rather have a private experience, you can request a private tour for an additional cost. Perfect for couples, families, or those who want a slower pace or more flexibility.
Corcovado has strict rules to protect wildlife and ecosystems.
Getting on/off the boats requires stepping into the water, sometimes knee-deep or higher.
Protect your electronics and sensitive belongings with a dry bag. Waves and boat movement may cause water splashes. Wear clothes that can get wet and dry quickly.
Caño Island is a tropical rainforest experience also — rain is part of the experience.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule tours if heavy rain or strong winds make it unsafe. Expect bumpy boat rides depending on the weather.
Expect flexible timing — this is real jungle, not Disneyland.
Tide levels, and wildlife activity can all affect the schedule. Boat rides may be longer or bumpier than expected. Just relax and enjoy the adventure.
Let us know in advance if anyone in your group has back problems or is pregnant.
We’ll do our best to assign appropriate boat seats and make your journey as comfortable as possible.
